It is very difficult for me to picture what happened between you and the child as both of you were playing hangman. Your description is too short and it does not provide enough context for understanding your reflections and inquiries. You may want to consider describing in more details how you and the child interacted and provide some concrete examples to support your arguments (e.g., . "This is an indication that he lacks an understanding that words are constructed from vowels. He didn't care though.")
Please include the name of the child you observed and the visit date. What advantages/disadvantes to you see in using computers to help children learn the vowels?
I was wondering if you could identify whether your inquiries relate to either the "bottom-up" or "top-down" approaches to learning.
