Hi Annie--
Thanks for such a great description of your previous experience of working with children! It is very informing.
Talking about a disadvantage child with whom you worked, you wrote, "Understandably, he was quite a discipline problem."
You know, observing kids yesterday at Barrios Unidos, at debriefing we discussed how differently the kids behave while they had to fill out the forms Maurice gave to them and when they were playing game in another room. One point that we made was that discipline problems seem to difficult understand without describing the environment of the activity they occur. Disciplinary problems may not just rooted in an individual kid but in a history of this child being in a specific activity setting and environment. What do you think?
