I have dad similar experiences with working with people whom I could not understand an dwho could not understand me. What I try to do is either get someone elso to translate for me or I try other resources, such as magazines or books so I could show them what I'm talking about. Over the summer I met a hearing impaired woman who could only read lips to a certain extent. She understood some of what I was saying to her, but when she couldn't understand, I took a magazine out and pointed to the word she couldn't read on my lips. HTough it is somewhat different than your experience, Jesse, I think it is useful to use resournces around us to get communication going. May
