I would say that V. is most likely very proud that you asked him, because this is different from his experiences in school.

Getting kids involved to help is the best thing you can do, because I believe they both learn in that situation, and one of the most important goals of education should be to promote social behavior like this.

I think that a great part of our learning will be those new roles that are totally different from what we learnt in school.
