Hi Jess,
I have a couple of suggestions on your field note:
It would be useful to have some information about how Victor and Marvin interacted and communicated with each other (as Victor played the role of an "expert" and Marvin the role of a "novice").
Did you notice any difference with regard to the manner Victor interacted with you and Marvin? If so, would you like to descrive it for us? Have you asked children whether they would prefer to learn "concrete" games before playing with computer games?
