Hi May--
It seems that we are exchanging messages in real time -- it's fun!
You wrote, "So when any of us who as playing Monolpoly at the time landed on a Chance or Community Chest spot and drew a card, I asked Marlin to read to read it for or with that person. If she couldn't read it, either I or the other player read the card aloud. After reading the card, I would ask Marlin if she understood what the card meant. If she did, then I'd ask her to tell me what it meant, if she didn't then I'd slowly and carefully explain it to her. She got really excited playing the game. I think it was a good learning experience for both of us! "
I think learning becomes especially meaningful when what people do important for other people. What do you think? Also what did you learn from Marlin?
