Annie, I think that boys are much more competitive at B.U. and in general as well. I think it is a deep rooted socialization that almost all males encompass. I know that it exists in me. I think that we should try to harness that drive and energy. This energy can be very productive if we help them facilitate using that energy. One method for me is to make sure that the competitive drive does not cross the aggression line. If they use that energy to help and be productive then that is great. It's when the boys over competitiveness begins to step on other peoples toes that I think we need to intervene. If you have any other ideas for making this less of a problem with boys then please feel free to tell me.
