I don't know who wrote this field note. Please put your name in the future. Your observations of Alex were very intersting. Kids are learning allot of things that are not appropriate for their age and media, particularly tv. and music have allot to do with it. However, do you see any positive aspects that Alex and other kids could learn from age-inappropriate information? For example, kids today hear allot about AIDS and contraception. Do you think this is helpful? What other things do you think may be helpful to them? Another issue, is that I would like you to elaborate on what you think you learned from the situation. What do you feel you learned or not from your observations/interactions with Alex? If not, why not. Lastly, how can you use the knowledge that kids already have, age appropriate or not, to help them learn? Hope this helps, Ed.
