We discussed after friday's practicum about the importance of basic knowledge of the computer software at Barrios Unidos. Although I think it is great that we learn computers as we go along, I think it would be even more beneficial if we knew the basic components of the programs. I just think it would save a lot of time screwing around with the computer, waiting for Dave to be free so he could fix some simple problem, etc. Maybe next year's class can spend one class time getting informed with the computer programs they will be working with.
