Valerie, these were very nice observations. I first want to commend you on the way you worked with Nela and tryed to overcome the language barrier that existed between you two. I first wanted to ask you. Do you think you and/ or Nela learned anything from not being able to get the "Grandma" computer softwared to work? In this I mean, was there any learning that resulted or not, from the frustration you two must have experienced? Also, you mentioned that on the Charlie Brown software, you would say a word, andthan Nela would. I wonder if you remember any of those words in Spanish and if Nela will remember any of theose words that were in English? What do you think? Lastly, do you think that even thought there is a language barrier, that lerning, not just superficial learning, but a real deep understanding of concepts, themes, and phenonmenon, can take place? What are your thoughts. Hope this helps, Ed.
