David, I first want to commend you in sticking in there and having patience as you worked tryed to work with Manuela and her friend and than eventually actually worked with Manuela on the Snoopy software. I think you are experiencing very similar issues that many of your classmates are experiencing. The frustrations due to language barriers, lack or resources (i.e., computer problems), and implimenting an informal teaching approach. I only encourage you to think about how frustration / boredom may play a role in the learning that may or may not occur within the children you interact with and even in yourself. There must be struggle for any productivity to take place. I also wonder how you feel interms of the roles language barriers and a lack of resources is shaping the types of interactions and learning opportunities that you and the kids may or may not be able to experience. Lastly, I like everyone in the class would like to thank you for your computer expertise and your guidance as you try to help us work with the kids. Ed.
