Annie, Nice field note! You describe your interaction with Ana (as she was reading in Spanish) as collaborative learning. I would be interested in reading about what aspects of the interaction you considered as evidence for collaborative learning -- expanding to justify your illustration.

Also, you mention that: "I think it was informal learning because there was no structure, we just did what we felt like when we felt like it." How are you defining structure during informal learning situations? Would you consider informal learning situations as lacking structure in terms of teaching and learning? If so, why?
