Valerie, interesting. You like your class mates are bringing up a similar theme, which centers around familiarity. In other words, all of you are feeling that interactions, both playing and working, with the kids are much easier and the kids are more positive in terms of their responses to you. What do you think about this? In other words, what roles do you see becoming familiar (i.e., getting to know someone) has on learning or not learning for the children at Barrios Unidos, you and your class mates. Also, you mentined Manuelas ZPD and that you had experienced some difficulty in terms of helping move from one point to another. I encourage you to also think of how the children you work with help you move through your own ZPD, the activities that this takes place, and what you actually walk away with. They too are your guides, as you are theres. Nice work Valerie, Ed.
