It seems like the only CD game at BU that is consistently in demand is "The Lion King". "Oregon Trail II" and "The Magic Schoolbus" used to be popular too. I wonder what qualities these games have that make them so attractive. Disney brainwashing is certainly one of the reasons the game is first picked up, but if that was also the reason for continued interest then I would think the Sesame Street games would also be more popular. I am also theorizing that the game has an interface that is pleasing to the children, such as the goal of each activity is clear and there isn't any reading involved. Are there other good design elements that could play a role here?
