I think it is very important to start noticing kids sharing personal info with you. It brings a notion of "whole person learning." Can you provide a history background of your relationship with Jose, please? Did you play with him before?
What about other kids, did they share with you some personal info? How does it happen? What contributes to building trust between you and kids? Do you share your personal info with kids? Who often does initiate this sharing? What do you know about outside kids' lives by now?
