Didn't anyone notice the smiley face --> :) <-- i put at the end of that sentence? various smiley faces have been developed by the internet community specifically for the purposes of overcoming some of the difficulty of presenting intonation with messages that are often casually written. the smiley face i added means that i wrote what i did as a joke, sarcastically, or at least that i am saying it in a friendly way.
Also, current statistics indicate that about 60% of the people who use the Internet are males, as I saw mentioned on the news last night.
