Valerie, I agree with you. Sometimes, kids can go too far and you have to go with your feelings. There is a level of respect that both you and the kids deserve and if they disrespect you and you feel awkward, I believe you did the right thing by calling her one it and not complying to her wishes. Some kids can be very manipulative in this regard, thus it is very important that students remember, that respect is what everyone wants and kids must show it to students as they too, must show it to the kids.
