I liked the way you handled that. You gave ana the choice to make friends with you and you showed her that just because she wants something and doesn't get it, that doesn't mean that other people are ther to bend over backward for them. I would have done something similar, or I would have tried to talk with them so they could see what you forced ana to figure out on her own. I think as adult models for these children, we have to not baby them into thinking they can get their way. Sooner or later, they are going to find out how hard it is and as friends who know the way, we can ease them into it. Congratulations!
