4. Inga Josef Orlova is (#4). Inga was born Moscow, Russia August 24, 1929. Inga is the daughter of Josef Pavel Orlov (Ghershoig) and Maria Azriel Zinde.

At that time her parents and her oldest sister Maiya
lived on Sukharevskaya squere, Moscow in the room, which was occupied by
her grand-mother Polina. Soon after her birth Josef Orlov's family
had moved to the region "Sokol."

The house at the region "Sokol", where had lived Inga till her marriage in 1951. Except their family in this house lived 23(!) families. There was only one toilet. In 1965 this house was destroyed.
In 1931 her parents divorced. In 1934 Mariya got married Peter Pavel Doughin. They have had three children: Valya, 1935; Ella, 1937; Igor, 1940. On September 1, 1937,Inga was listed on the roll as a student at school #149, Moscow.
On June 22, 1941, Nazis invaded the Soviet Union. On July 10, 1941 she and her oldest sister Maya were evacuated in the Uzunovo village, station "Serebryaniii bor",Tula's region with other children from their school. In July 1941 their mother, Maria A. Doughina, as a breast-feeding, who have worked in the "Vneshtorg", with youngest daughters Valya, 6, Ella,4, son Igor, 11 months, and grand-mother Polina M. Zinde were evacuated with "Centrosoyus", where had worked Maria's husband Peter Doughin, by ship in the city Dubovka, Stalingrad's region. On August 10, 1941,Igor, 1, died. On October 4, 1941 she and Maya were re-evacuated in Moscow. However, the situation in Moscow at this time was very dangerous and they were evacuated again in the city Dubovka, where they arrived in November,1941 and met their mother, sisters and grand-mother. Because the German's troops were threatened with occupation the Stalingrad's oblast, the "Centrosoyus" had made decision to evacuate mothers with children in Siberia. In December, 1941 they arrived in village Sorokino, Altay region, which located between Biisk and Barnaul. On the way to this village Inga had become very sick. In September 1943, all of them have returned in Moscow. In June 1944 Inga's grandmother Polina died after car accident.
She graduated from high school Moscow, Russia, June 25, 1947. School: No. 149. She was a student Moscow, Russia, September 1, 1947. School: Moscow Chemical Machinery University (MIHM). From August 1, 1951 till August 27, 1951 she rested in resort, which located in Morshin - Zdroi, Ukraine. On August 11, she met Lev Matusov and felt in love with him.
On November 11, 1951, Moscow, Russia she got married Lev.Inga graduated Moscow, Russia, June 30, 1952. Institution: Moscow Chemical- Mashinbuilding University (MIHM). Inga's occupation: design- engineer Moscow, Russia, August 1, 1952. She started to work as a design-engineer in Project Institute "Giprogasoochistka."
In the University Inga have met three young women: Tat'yana Zakladnaya, Ida Emdina and Galina Krakshina. All of them soon became her best friends for all their lives. They loved and helped to each other. |
Tat'yana died in 1976 from cancer at age 48. Ida with her daughter Nina and grand-daughter Tanya emigrated in 1991 in Israel and Galina, who worked as a Head of Design Bureau, retired, have lived in Moscow in poverty and very hard conditions.
At 23 years of age Inga became the mother of Alex Lev Matusov Moscow, Russia, March 12,1953. Inga's occupation: design-engineer Moscow, Russia, August 1959. In July 1959 the family moved to Tushino (North-West from Moscow). Because she worked in North-East part of Moscow, she changed her work in GPI-4
At 30 years of age Inga became the mother of Eugene Leo Matusov in Tushino, Moscow region, June 25, 1960. Inga's occupation: Design - engineer Moscow, Russia, February 1961. After she was delivered her second son - Eugene (on June 25, 1960) she changed her work to plant No. 500, where worked her husband - Lev.

Inga retired Moscow, Russia, February 1985. On October 3, 1988, her youngest son Eugene with his family emigrated from the USSR. On December 6, 1988, they immigrated in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. On May 4, 1989 her oldest son Alex with his family emigrated from the USSR. On August 24, 1989, they immigrated in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. In March 1990 Alex found job in California and he and his family moved to Thousand Oaks, CA.
On December 3, 1990 Lev and Inga arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA as a visitor of their children. In October 1990, Alla, their daughter-in-law lost her job. She couldn't find it in SLC and only in April 1991 she found it in Phoenix, Arizona and moved there. Eugene have studied at University of Utah, so Inga and Lev completely took care of their grand-son Artyom (Tyoma). On January 8, 1991 they applied for political asylum. The representative of Mormon Church - Caroline have gathered a group of seven people, who applied for asylum in the USA, including Inga, Lev and Eugene (as a translator) and organized their trip to Denver, CO, where was located the INS office for interview.
Only Lev and Inga successfully passed the interview and on September 27, 1991 they received a letter from Washington Processing Center, which informed they that they got a status of political asylum. In June 1992, Eugene graduated from University of Utah; Alla found job in San Ramon, CA; Eugene was enrolled as a graduated student in University of Santa Cruz, CA, so Eugene, Atryom, Alla, Inga and Lev moved to Palo Alto. Eugene graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz on December 15, 1994 with Doctoral Degree in psychology. In December 1994 he became a post-doctoral fellow at UCSC In August 1997 Eugene found job as an assistant- professor in University of Delaware and moved to Philadelphia, PA. In August 1998, Artyom followed him. From January 1998 Inga began suffering from pain in her back and on June 11, 1998 she underwent surgery on her spine. On July 7, 1994, Helen, Alex's wife, delivered Elizabeth Ann.
Inga petitioned the court to become an American citizen in San Jose, California, USA, on November 1, 1996. Inga took an oath of allegiance in San Jose, California, USA, on May 19, 1999. After that Inga and Lev could move to Thousand Oaks, CA for purpose to take care of Elizabeth Ann. On December 1, 1999 they moved to Thousand Oaks.
On November 10 - 17, 2001 Lev and Inga took a cruise on ship "Sea Princess" to Mexican Rivera.
They visited in Mexico three ports: Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. On this ship on November 11, Inga and Lev celebrated their "Golden Wedding" (50-th anniversary of their wedding).
